About Aaron

Aaron Wilbers is an Artist and Graphic Designer based out of Madison, Wisconsin. Both playful and reflective, his paintings attract viewers with crisp lines and strong compositions then keep them engaged with rich detail and alluded meaning. He has been producing artwork for more than 10 years and has felt a natural affinity for visual art since his childhood.

Aaron grew up near Linn, Missouri, a small town seated in a region of rolling hills, rivers, farms and woodlands. His formative years were spent among nature and a country life fostered the growth of his down-to-earth philosophy and love of the outdoors.
Quiet and observant as a child, Aaron found self-expression through drawing and other creative craft work.

He continued this path by enrolling at Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa where his passion for art gained strength and vocabulary. Clarke is a small school with a robust Arts Department, and provided the opportunities for both personal and spiritual growth in addition to the trade skills developed there.  He graduated in December of 1997 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in oil painting and sculpture after completing a solo thesis show.

Aaron then moved to Columbia, Missouri after gaining employment at the Columbia Daily Tribune as a Creative Ad Designer. After five years of that job, and very little artwork produced, he decided to make the leap into self-employment.  He began his career a freelance Graphic Designer and Artist and continues it today.

The majority of his artwork is of a realistic style. Still lifes containing assortments of peculiar objects, vistas of cattle and interpretations of natural fauna comprise the bulk of his work.

Regarding his development as a person, his working ideals are; self improvement & personal growth, a life balanced with friends & family, humor, a strong spiritual life, physical well-being and being someone who is a positive contribution to others.
